At Calvary Bible Church, we believe that God has called us to gather together to worship, grow, and serve. Through this ministry, we are brought to maturity in Christ. God then scatters us into our homes, workplaces, communities, and around the world to share the good news of Jesus with everyone.

Missionary Support

Evangelism Class - Silencing the Stones

The idea of being involved in personal evangelism can conjure up fears, uncertainties, felt inabilities, and even thoughts of “that’s not my thing.” However, every Christ follower has a mission field...could be family, friends, neighbors, co-workers or all of the above.

Silencing The Stones is a 4-week elective starting on September 11 to help train participants in, and be comfortable with, a fruitful evangelistic process that is biblical, joy-producing, and based on who you are (and can even be fun!). Register for the class below:

We want to reach our community with the love of God and the good news of Jesus. Have you always wanted to be more intentional about reaching your neighbors with the Gospel? Join the Local Evangelism Team! Throughout the year, we engage in a number of outreach efforts including:

Children

Fall Kickoff for Sunday mornings is happening on Sunday, September 11. All KZPreschool and KZElementary students will move into their new classes/grades and meet their new teachers and small group leaders. KZBabies & KZPreschool will be offered at 8:30, 9:45, and 11am. KZElementary will be offered at 8:30 & 9:45am. The Bridge class (6th Grade) gathers at 9:45am. 

Kids Choir - New this year! We are excited to see how God uses this ministry to show kids the importance of worship in our everyday lives. The CBC Kids Choir will meet on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:15pm.

AWANA, our Wednesday night Children's Classes, kickoff on Wednesday, September 14. Registration for AWANA starts on Monday, August 15 online. This children's club is designed to teach children God's Word with a fun, clear, and consistent presentation of the gospel each Wednesday. We have classes for Preschool through High School.

Youth

C-Team is our middle school youth group. We meet regularly on Wednesday nights from 6:45-8:30 PM and the fall kickoff is on September 14.

SWAT is our high school youth group. We meet regularly on Wednesday nights from 7-9 and the fall kickoff is on September 14.

We also have a great time on Sunday mornings when all of CBC students gather together for our class at 9:45am in the Youth Room. We are kicking off the year on September 11 with a pancake breakfast! Come and join us even if you have never come on a Wednesday night, we'd love to meet you.

Adult Sunday Morning

Our adult ministries provide a chance for you to study and learn from God’s Word, build lasting friendships and discover how God has wired you to love Him and serve others. Our fall kickoff is on Sunday, September 11 at 9:45am where we will be offering the following classes (you can attend any class regardless of your life stage):

  • Journey (Young Adults) Class: studying Haggai & Malachi with Mike Collins
  • Newly Married Lifestage: studying Biblical Marriage with Josiah Rocke
  • Community of Parents Lifestage: studying Acts 1-12 with Dave Zerrien
  • Free to Serve (Empty Nesters)
  • Legacy Hour (60+): studying Revelation with Ethan Hansen
  • Welcome Home! - membership class: team taught
  • Silencing the Stones - personal evangelism class: taught by John Hartenberger

Men's Ministry is kicking off on Wednesday, September 14 at 6:35pm in Fellowship Center East (Room 201). This fall we are excited to study the life of Joseph. Also happening this fall is our Annual Fall Retreat on September 30-October 1 with the theme of Brotherhood. Registration is happening soon, so keep posted!

Our Women's Ministry offers regular Bible studies, special events, a biennial retreat, a mentoring ministry, and more. There is a place for everyone, and we encourage you to consider joining us!

Tuesday Evening Edition Bible Study kicks off on September 13 at 6:30pm. This fall we are studying Promises for Today from Jesus. (no childcare offered) in the Community Room (134).

Wednesday Morning Bible Study kicks off on September 14 at 9:25am. We will be hearing from Kate Schwarzenbart about Samuel: A Light in the Darkness. (childcare offered on co-op basis) in Fellowship Center West (200).

Legacy (60+)

Our Legacy Ministry is for those over the age of 60 and we are thriving! Beyond our regular Sunday morning class we have monthly birthday celebrations, a grandparenting summit, corn roasts, potlucks, trips and more! Find out more about how you can join in on the fun by clicking below.

LifeGroups

Lifegroups is where a large church becomes small. There is nothing like doing life together with other believers. We hope to launch some more small groups this fall and are looking forward to seeing more and more groups supporting each other in prayer and laughter and faith.

Monday Evening Precepts

This class is for men & women and meets from 6:30-8:45pm in the Fellowship Center East (Rm 201) starting September 26. We will be studying 1 Thessalonians. Register by Emailing Jessie & Rick Peterson.

Thursday Morning Precepts

This class meets from 9-11:15am starting on September 15 in Fellowship Center East (Rm 201). We are studying the book of Daniel this fall. This class is open to anyone and everyone. Contact Linda Gamerdinger to register.

Care Ministries

If you are going through a rough patch in your life, we probably have a ministry to come alongside you. Here are a few that are starting up their studies/groups this fall.

  • DivorceCare kicks off on September 13
  • Griefshare starts on September 14
  • Hearts of Hope (Abuse Recovery) starts on September 8 (apply by September 1)
  • New Commandment (serving the widows and shut-ins) fall kickoff on September 17
